Agni Karma Introduction
Agnikarma (Thermal Cautery) is an ancient technique derived from the Indian system of medicine, Ayurveda. The technique of Agnikarma has been designed to relieve various muscular and joint pain disorders.
The word Agnikarma(Thermal Cautery) means the application of Agni (heat). The Agnikarma (Thermal Cautery) involves a procedure whereby heat is transferred to the affected parts of the body using the metal Shalaka(metal rod) in an aseptic manner. Therapeutic burns are created using these metal rods, based on the specialist knowledge in a number of areas including a type of disorder, the constitution of the patient, severity of the disorder etc.
The Agnikarma (Thermal Cautery) has been described in the Ayurvedic literature of SushrutSamhita, which is written by the legendary Vadic Indian Surgeon Sushruta, often referred to as the father of modern surgery, where he has described Agnikarma''s effect on disorder ofAsthi(bone), Sandhi (joint), and Snayu (ligament/tendon).
Agnikarma (Thermal Cautery)is effective in condition of acute pain as well as chronic pain. Viddha Karma Introduction
This is miniature of blood letting a very small puncture is done with the help of an insulin needle. The knowledge of vital points and symptoms related points is essential.
The treatment gives its miraculous results in fraction of second.
This is also called as pain management in Ayurveda. Pain can be described as any physical suffering or discomfort caused by illness or injury. Pain can present in various ways as throbbing pain in toothache, eye ache, colic pain etc. joint pain due to swelling and many more.
Ayurveda explains the origin of pain is due to vitiated Vata Dosha, Once Vata Dosha is treated efficiently the pain subsides automatically.
